Appellation of Origin: Tvishi is an appellation for wines produced in a 15-square-kilometer zone around Tvishi village in north-western Georgia Lechkhumi. The zone is on the right bank of the Rioni River. Tvishi is a semi-sweet, white wine made from Tsolikouri grapes.
Grape Variety: The grape variety Tsolikauri from Lechkhumi’s village Tvishi Due to its high acidity and balanced alcohol, it has the highest potential for aging. Tsolikauri, a defining variety of white grape, it ripens late and yields full-bodied, light straw-colored wines with citrus and yellow fruit, white plum, and floral aromas.
