Description:  Khvanchkara is a  semi-sweet Georgian red wine made from unique aborigine grape varietals Aleksandrouli” and “Mujuretuli” It is the “pearl” among the Georgian wines.” Khvanchkara Produced from  the bland of  60% Alexandrouli and 40% Mujuretuli grapesThe only notable plantings of Aleksandrouli and Mujuretuli grapes are in  the village of Khvanchkara Ambrolauri region, West Georgia, on the right bank of  Rioni River valley, which tumbles down the Caucasus Mountains into the Black Sea. It produces particularly high-quality wine on sunny, south- and southwestern-facing vineyards with stony and calcareous soils, it can grow up to 800 meters above sea level.

Grape Variety:  – Aleksandrouli and Mujuretuli grapes are exclusive, originate from the smallest part of Racha West Georgia.  Grapes originate and continue to thrive on the sunny, southern, calcareous slopes of the Caucasus Mountains. The grapes requires a longer growing seasons as it ripens later than average grapes and have an exceptional capacity to accumulate sugar.  The grapes berry is round, of average size, and dark blue in color. Naturally low yielding. it is frost-resistant.

Taste: The blend of  Aleksandrouli and Mujuretuli  can be made into a classical dry red, as well as naturally semi-sweet wines from Racha – a style known as Khvanchkara.
Ruby to live Burgundy with an elegant brightness. The terroir
greatly flavors with obvious Strawberry and Raspberry flavors.
The flavor composition is tasted through the entire palate. Rich,
soft and velvety tannin enhanced by full and soft structure. This
wine has exuberant middle palate and sweet-soft-tannin lingering
aftertaste.

Perfect with different cheeses and meat products both stewed and fried.
Best to enjoy at 12 – 15°C.
