Description: Rkatsiteli -Mtsvane wine is the bland of two ancient viniferas; Rkatsiteli and Kakhuri Mtsvane, originated from Kakheti, East Georgia. Rkatsiteli is the most traditional and established white grape variety. It has the longest wine grape histories in the world, with DNA evidence tracing it back at least 5000 years as one of the earliest cultivated wine grape varieties in the world. It is also the most common and widely planted white grape variety in Georgia. Rkatsiteli Mtsvane are an ideal grape varieties for long macerations in Qvevri due to its high acidity.
Grape Varieties: Rkatsiteli and Mtsvane are ancient grape varieties believed to be first appeared in Georgia during the 1st century A.D. Rkatsiteli It translates as “Red Horn.” Rkatsiteli grape makes noticeably acidic but balanced white wine with a full flavor profile and good body. Restrained and refreshing, with crisp green-apple flavors and hints of quince and white peach. Kakhuri Mtsvane is light-bodied but full of character and boasts distinctive aromas. Light amber color, intense rose full of dried apricots, melon and oriental spices. Rich layered taste and strong tannin structure It is often blended with Rkatsiteli to which it adds a fruity, aromatic balance. Mtsvane means; young and green.

Taste: Light to average straw-colored with green tinge. Aroma of Golden Plums and White Mulberry blended with tropical overtones. Live, refreshing acidity fully demonstrates its soft, elegant and slight tannin body.
Perfect with different cheeses and meat products both stewed and fried.
